Duration: 7-8 hours 0900-1700
Cost $35 per person includes box lunch.
Fort Sherman is the former home of the Jungle Operations Training Center. Rangers deployed there to learn Jungle Warfare throughout the 1980s, and many have fond memories (or not!) of their time spent slogging through the 23,000-acre training area, which is now a national park.
The visit will include a stop at Fort San Lorenzo, the well-known 15th-century fortress overlooking the mouth of the Chagres River.
If time permits, it may be possible to visit the ruins of one of the old coastal defense batteries that were used by the Ranger Regiment for training during our deployments there.
WE WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET HOME IN TIME FOR THE 19 DECEMBER FESTIVITIES!
This is a long day and includes significant walking in the tropical heat.
